【和訳】Come Healing - Leonard Cohen - 映画「フェアウェル」より
この曲は、映画フェアウェルを見て知ったため、Elayna Boyntonという人がカバーした分を聞いている。
レナード・コーエンは正直Hallelujahを書いた人だということも知らなかったが（すっかりジェフ・バックリーの曲だと思っていた）、歌詞が詩的で素敵だ。
彼は小説をもともと書いていたそう。
フェアウェルは、祖母が末期癌を患ったことをきっかけに中国に帰る中華系アメリカ人が主人公、ビリーの映画である。助からない病気は本人に告げるべきでないと家族は決めるがビリーは納得できない。ルル・ワン監督の実話だそうだ。中国語タイトルは「別告訴她」（彼女には告げるな）となっている。
アメリカと中国、大きく見れば欧米とアジアの考え方の違いを、真ん中にいる（親が中国人だが育ちはアメリカの）ビリーが戸惑いながら受け入れていく様が印象深い。
個人的にとても面白かったので、アカデミー賞ノミネートされてもおかしくなかったと思うが、ハリウッドは厳しい。自分のネイティブ文化圏以外に興味を持たない人には刺さらない映画ではあるかもしれない。
